About Farline

Farline is a small, independent web app for couples who live in different time zones. It plans calls at hours that suit you both, adds them to Google Calendar, and gives the two of you a private place for notes, letters, voice notes, daily photos and a countdown to your next visit.

Why it exists

Finding a good time to talk is the hardest part of a long-distance relationship. When one of you is waking up, the other is heading to bed. Farline does the time zone math, varies the call times a little each week so they never feel like a chore, and suggests new times when a call is missed.

Who runs it

Farline is built and run by Ben Besckinder, an independent developer in San Francisco, not a large company. One subscription covers both partners, and every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Payments are handled by Polar, so Farline never sees your card details.

What happens to your data

Only you and your partner can see what you share. Calendar events use a neutral title with no personal names, and you can export your data from Settings at any time. The privacy policy explains what is collected and why.
