Privacy Policy

Farline plans calls between people in different time zones and gives couples a private place to share notes, letters, voice notes and photos. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you control.

What we collect

• Your Google account name, email address and profile picture, used to sign you in.
• Access to your Google Calendar (the calendar.events scope), used only to create, update and remove the call events Farline schedules, and to read when you are busy so calls are not planned over existing events.
• The schedule and settings you enter (time zones, availability windows, blackout times).
• Your call log: which planned calls happened, were missed or skipped, the reason you chose, and how long you talked.
• Subscription status from our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
• If you pair with a partner: who you're paired with, and what you share with each other: notes, letters (including drafts and scheduled delivery dates), voice notes, and the photos you take for Moments. Only you and your partner can see these. An invited partner never sees the person who invited them's call schedule.
• Camera and microphone: used only while you're taking a Moment photo or recording a voice note, and only after you allow it. Nothing is captured in the background.
• Notification subscriptions: a technical address your browser gives us so we can send you notifications. You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings.
• Product analytics: which pages you visit and steps you complete (for example, finishing setup or starting checkout), your browser and device type, and the website or campaign that referred you. These are tied to a random account ID, never your name, email or calendar data. Google Analytics uses cookies to recognise return visits.

How we use it

Only to run Farline for you: generating your call schedule, keeping it in your calendar, suggesting new times, showing your history and insights, delivering what you share with your partner, and sending the notifications you turned on. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers below.

Google user data

Farline's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Calendar data is used only to provide the scheduling features described above. We do not use it to train AI models, and no human reads it except when you ask us for support or the law requires it.

Security and retention

Data is sent over HTTPS. Google access tokens are encrypted at rest. Photos and voice notes are stored privately and are only served to you and your partner through short-lived links. We keep your data while your account is active and delete it within 30 days of your request. If you unpair, you both stop seeing what you shared.

Your choices

• Export your data any time from Settings → Your data.
• Revoke Farline's Google access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Ask us to delete your account and data by emailing besckinder@gmail.com.
